90 days

90 days to go  -  it is really going fast now.  Working on homework for the next meeting.  This will be my final meeting of classwork.  Plans are going forward for the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser - we have a band that is going to play from 6:30 - 8:00 and my mom is looking into having a large basket filled with items from local businesses to raffle off.  She is also considering a 50/50 raffle.  I am sure it will go well and I am excited to be able to speak to the people who come and to share with them my experiences so far.

Double Digits!

In the double digits now - only 99 days left!  I have a new journal entry assignment to write - I need to take one day and write a journal entry about everything I did.  I guess it is to help me learn how to express myself when I write in my journal during my travels.  Pretty boring entry if I choose today, maybe I'll wait for the weekend.  I also need to do read up on the daily life of each country and answer a few questions about that.  I do not mind that as it is pretty interesting reading.  Cannot wait until July!

What it means to be American?

So one of the journal assignments I had to write about was what I felt it meant to be an American.  Then, I needed to describe how I hoped to leave a positive impression on the Europeans about teenage Americans today.  Even though I have already turned this assignment in, I still think about the question.  Unfortunately, I do not think European cultures think about us as positively as we believe ourselves to be. I guess I'll find out in 103 days.  What do you think it means to be American?  What do you think it means to be a teenage American?
